Wealth Advisors Trust Company values the importance of protecting the privacy of our website visitors, clients visiting our website and clients using our various trustee services. Protecting the privacy of our website visitors and our customers is fundamental to the way we conduct business, whether over electronic or in person methods. We do our best to provide website and other related safeguards by maintaining physical, electronic, and/or procedural processes.

From time to time, we will direct our website visitors and/or our customers to other sites on the Internet. Whenever you leave the Wealth Advisors Trust Company site, it is strongly suggested that the websites privacy policy is reviewed.

Information Collected

In order for us to fulfill the duties our trust beneficiary/trust protector/grantor/individual trustee clients have hired us to do, we need to collect certain personal identifying information (e.g. name, address, social security number, etc.) from information provided by either our customers and/or an advisor to provide us with information.  This information could be communicated by various means (electronic, telephone, written or in person). Information also collected may be a trust’s tax return, custodial statements/transactions, trust/Will documents etc. For website visitors we also gather data on the activity performed on the website.

Information Disclosed

Information on any client/beneficiary of a trust(s) is  not disclosed from what we have collected on anyone, except: (i) making our services better for the client/beneficiary of a trust(s) and then only to those person(s) or entity(s) providing the services authorized (such as broker-dealers, custodians, independent managers etc.); (ii) to person(s) assessing our compliance with industry standards (e.g., regulators, etc.); (iii) attorneys, accountants, and auditors that we hire as our agent(s); or (iv) as mandated by the federal and/or state law.

The law permits us to provide information to local/county/state/federal agencies and other third parties in certain circumstances (such as third parties that perform administrative services.  We have the option to share information from visitors’ actions and interactions with our website with outside digital marketing consultant(s) and/or firm(s) to make the experience and information sought after by website visitors more relevant and engaging.  These third parties are prohibited to use or share the information for any other purpose. If our services are no longer required or account becomes inactive, we will still follow our privacy policy rules. 

Protection of Information

We restrict access to personal information on customers using our various trustee services to those employees who need to know that information to service accounts. We maintain physical, electronic and/or procedural safeguards that comply with applicable  guidelines. We do not sell information on information gathered on customers using our various trustee services.  We do not sell data gathered by visitor to our website.

From time to time, as situations dictate, we will change our privacy policy as to what is collected and disclosed. These changes will be noted on our website under the Privacy Policy link.
